Ward Knutson, 63, of Ruso, North Dakota, tragically passed away in a vehicle rollover accident on the night of November 8, 2025, while traveling on N.D. Highway 53 in the Butte area. Ward was driving a 1999 Ford F-250 when he lost control of the vehicle on icy roads, causing it to roll into a south ditch. The crash occurred between the evening hours of Saturday and early Sunday morning, and Ward was found deceased at the scene. It was reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
