It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hunter Myers, a vibrant and spirited young man whose life was tragically cut short on March 26, 2025. At just 24 years old, Hunter touched the lives of all who knew him with his infectious smile, adventurous spirit, and boundless energy.
Hunter was a beloved son, brother, and friend. His ability to connect with others and bring joy into any room was unmatched. Whether he was out on a new adventure with friends or lending a hand to those in need, Hunter’s loyalty and genuine kindness shone through. He was the type of person who would drop everything to help a friend or loved one, always putting others first.
A graduate of Fort Myers High School, Hunter had dreams of pursuing a career in environmental science, where he hoped to make a lasting impact on preserving Florida’s beautiful ecosystems. He worked part-time at local conservation efforts, where his passion for nature and the environment truly came to life. Hunter was known for his love of the outdoors, often spending his weekends hiking, fishing, or volunteering at local parks. His dedication to sustainability and his love for the planet were qualities that inspired all those around him.
Hunter was also an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying everything from basketball to hiking and camping. He loved the camaraderie and teamwork that came with sports, and his competitive yet encouraging nature made him a favorite among teammates.
Hunter’s family and friends will remember him for his optimism, resilience, and the way he always saw the best in people. Though his life was far too short, his legacy of love, friendship, and positivity will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to local conservation efforts in Hunter’s honor. Our hearts are with Hunter’s parents, siblings, and all who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.
